Swedish Massage Course
The study of the soft tissue manipulation by hand, utilizing techniques such as effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, compression, vibration, and more.

The objective of the 500-hour Massage Therapy program is to prepare the student to become a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in the state of Texas and for entry-level employment in spas; chiropractic and medical clinics; health clubs; resorts; hotels; and beauty salons or to begin their own massage therapy business. Students will receive instruction in the basic requirements set forth by the Texas Department of State Health Services through discussions, PowerPoint presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and textbook information. In order to achieve these objectives, students will complete the program in approximately 35 weeks. All instruction emphasizes maintaining the highest ideals and standards of professionalism. Upon successful completion of the training program, a student may apply to the Texas Department of State Health Services in order to begin the process for licensure. Students will be eligible to sit for the State Licensing Exam for licensure in Texas.
